Here we have a Brabus car released at the Geneva Auto Show, based off the Mercedes E-Class Coupe, and hiding a powerful V12 motor under the hood. They’re calling it the “Brabus E V12 Coupe,” but the tuners did more than just engine modifications. At the exterior level, the Mercedes coupe features a carbon fiber body kit consisting of a new front spoiler, side skirts, rear diffuser, and air vents in the front to reduce lifting forces. Several other exterior upgrades to the E-Class coupe include LED daytime running lights, a new adjustable coilover suspension kit, and underneath the 19-inch wheels, a high performance braking system. Be ready to hand over a ton of paper for this job however, since Brabus tuning doesn’t come cheap under the hood.

For a total price of 478,000 euros, you can have the Mercedes V12 Coupe that comes equipped with the Brabus SV12 R biturbo engine. On the dyno it puts down 788 hp with a maximum torque of 1,420 Nm, and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.7 seconds. Speed addicts can reach 200 km/h in 9.9 seconds, the crazies can push 300 km/h in 23.9 seconds, and if you’re insane, you can try to reach the top speed of 350 km/h. Please, just try not to kill anyone while driving on the Autobahn.

These numbers were accomplished with the additions of a new crankshaft, bored out cylinders, larger pistons, and upgraded electronics from the German Brabus technology. The Mercedes E-Class even received a custom version of the 5-speed automatic transmission that comes as a standard on the new Mercedes E models. A few extra aftermarket parts installed from Brabus include the limited slip differential to the rear wheel drive system, a stainless steel exhaust system, and new air intake kit.

This lime green Porsche 911 RGT-8 was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show from the RUF car tuning specialists. Looking like a solid build, the most suprising thing about this project is that it doesn’t use a Porsche engine! Instead, the tuners modified an in-house 4.5-liter V8 powerplant to produce some impressive numbers. With this innovative design, and compact engine, the Porsche 911 power increase shows 550 hp at 8,500 rpm, and 500 Nm of torque at 5,400 rpm. RUF was able to shave off 200 kg with the customizations under the hood, and even gave the race car a dry-sump lubrication system which is effective under all driving conditions.

The power from the V8 is transferred through a 6-speed manual gearbox that offers shorter shifts to send the torque to the rear wheels. For added performance, the RUF Porsche 911 RGT-8 received the tuning firms forged wheel package that has a single central retaining nut, and come wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tires. Providing sufficient stopping power, the Porsche super car was hooked up with a ceramic braking system. RUF stated that this build was inspired by the 550 coupe which won Le Mans race back in 1953.

As for the aerodynamic parts, the Porsche 911 received aluminum doors and a front hood, while the engine hood and rear spoiler were made of carbon fiber to save extra weight. Luckily, inside the bright green Porsche are few green accents, besides the instrument cluster. Instead, a full roll cage supports the frame for racing and improved safety. Minor modifications to the dashboard were made with aftermarket components.

ABT Sportsline released a new line of styling kits this past week, the two we have here are for the Audi A8 and Audi R8 GTR cars. Starting with the new GTR-version for the Audi R8, the V10 supercar received a lot of lightweight aerodynamic parts to enhance its appearance. With a new front bonnet, front and rear aprons, and carbon fiber adjustable rear wing, the aggressive R8 GTR looks like it could take on the notorious Nissan GTR. The windows were even replaced with Makrolon pieces, a super strong, lightweight material that is better than the factory parts. ABT’s tuning firm swapped the original door panels with carbon fiber ones, and all these feather-like additions made the Audi R8 GTR 100 kg lighter than the stock model.

Under the hood of the Audi R8, ABT Sportsline tuned and tweaked the 5.2-liter V10 to produce 620 hp, which is a 95 horsepower increase over the factory numbers. Improving the handling is a height adjustable ABT Sports suspension kit, adjustable dampers, and a high performance ceramic braking system. The wheels pictured here are ultra light ABT CR alloys, available in 19×9″ for the front, and 19×11″ at the rear. At the track, the exotic looking Audi R8 GTR was able to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in only 3.2 seconds, accomplish 200 km/h in 9.9 seconds, and reach a top speed of 325 km/h. Now that’s some impressive car tuning.

Moving on to Audi’s new luxury car, the Audi A8 sedan offers customers a four door model with stellar looks coming in 2011. ABT has already released these images of the new aero kit for the highly anticipated Audi A8, and even gave the car a small power boost. At the exterior level, the 2011 ABT Audi A8 received a new body kit consisting of a front spoiler, redesigned rear apron, tailpipe covers, side skirts, and a three-piece rear spoiler. Completing the cars styling are a set of aftermarket wheels in either 20 or 21-inches, and available in several designs. The engineers at ABT helped the 4.2-liter TDI engine with some tuning to increase its power by 35 hp and 80 Nm. Thus, giving the all new 2011 Audi A8 a final output of 385 horsepower, and 880 Nm of maximum torque.

Since the Geneva Motor Show is now underway, Novitec Rosso has released their latest tuning project on the Ferrari 599 GTB called the 848 RACE. Their specialists will only be creating three of these beautifully modified Ferrari 599 GTB models, which are more powerful than the previous Ferrari 599 Fiorano. The Ferrari engine alone could go without any customizations, so the guys at Novitec focused on the exterior styling first. This 848 RACE version of the Ferrari 599 features a new front spoiler lip, rear apron, rear diffuser, custom rear wing, and new rocker panels. These upgrades were installed to improve aerodynamics and cooling to the V12, which received some aftermarket parts.

Under the hood of the Novitec Rosso 848 RACE Ferrari, the tuners hooked up the 6.0-liter V12 with a twin compressor system, new intake manifold, injectors, air filter, and ECU tuning. Performance numbers for the Ferrari 599 show an amazing output of 837 hp at 7,900 rpm, and 842 Nm of torque at 6,300 rpm. Performing at the track is where the justice lies with a 0 to 100 km/h sprint time of just 3.4 seconds, 200 km/h in 9.6 seconds, and 300 km/h is reached in 23.7 seconds. The Novitec Rosso Ferrari 599 GTB 848 RACE car can also reach a top speed of 345 km/h.

Sure it looks impressive from the outside, but the blinding orange paint would get old after a week or so. Well the matte black stripes look pretty decent for a start, but the new bonnet vents are not the most appealing BMW M5 pieces we’ve seen. So, what exactly makes this BMW M5 CLR 500 RS overkill? Check out the over the top interior and tell me what you think. Carbon fiber is pleasant, but there comes a point where you have to say, “that’s enough.”

The Hamann tuning firm is a well known BMW and luxury car tuner, but have now added the Fiat 500 Abarth to their list of modified cars since it is extremely popular. This new program for the Cinquecento features a new aero kit to make it much more aggressive. Hamann also offers several performance packages to the car to a new level. As for the aerodynamics, they chose to modify the Fiat with a new front skirt, integrated LED daytime running lights, wing extensions, side skirts, and a redesigned rear skirt with Ferrari-like diffuser. However, the performance gains for the small engine Fiat 500 Abarth are jaw dropping.

Hamann offers the HS I performance pack that includes a remapping of the ECU to boost the numbers to 160 hp and 285 Nm of torque. The next level, HS II, adds a new full exhaust system from the exhaust of the turbo to the tips at the muffler to raise the figures to 180 hp and 295 Nm of torque. The kit right in the middle, the HS III for the Fiat 500, increases the horsepower and torque to 210 hp and 310 Nm with the addition of a better performing turbocharger and new fuel supply.

Now here’s the good stuff. Hamann’s fourth level for the Fiat 500 Abarth is called the HS Race, and offers quite a bit of extensive tuning. Their company installed forged pistons, aftermarket connecting rods, a modified turbo charger, race clutch, and a weight optimized one-mass flywheel to give the Fiat 240 hp and 330 Nm of torque. The most powerful kit is called the HS Cinquecento 575, and it includes everything mentioned above, along with a re-engineered cylinder head with adjusted camshafts, two charge air coolers, and a self-locking differential. The power numbers from this package show 275 hp and 380 Nm of torque.

The wheels you see pictured are a newly developed design, Largo Forged Anodized available in 18×8 for the front, and 18×9 at the rear. Hamann also offers a variety of sport suspension kits for the Fiat 500 to ensure improved handling. With the power kits mentioned above, it is also recommended to have them install a high performance braking system for the very fast 500 Abarth.

Earlier this week Heico Sportiv, the well know Volvo car tuning company released their latest project based on the all new Volvo C70. The stunning hard top convertible Volvo received several styling and performance upgrades to let it stand out of the crowd. Adding a touch of sportiness is a new front spoiler and rear diffuser, complemented by 20-inch forged wheels that definitely get the job done. Under the hood, the Volvo C70 diesel models received an ECU tuning upgrade from the guy at Heico Sportiv, however performance numbers have not been released yet.

We do know that a dual or quad pipe stainless steel exhaust system can be fitted underneath for an extra power boost. Though the numbers may be small, the engine tuning along with the increased air flow through the exhaust should yield some decent performance gains. As for the road handling, the new Volvo C70 was hooked up with a sport suspension kit to lower the car 30 mm, and Heico added a quad-piston braking system. For added traction stability, the C70 received a differential lock for the T5 manual gearbox.

Do you remember the Ken Block videos drifting his Subaru STi for DC Shoes, and recently acquiring a new Ford Fiesta for the snow drift scene? Well now there is a new competitor on the block, Tanner Foust, in his race built Scion TC. Why they chose a Scion TC for the drift track? Beats me, but it does look good from the exterior, and is definitely spewing out clouds of smoke from the rear wheels. At least it’s not a boxy Scion xB or tiny Scion xA. Right now we just have a teaser video, however a ton of pictures from AutoBlog. They recently announced a new drift series coming in March, which will feature prospect Tanner Foust and his Scion TC taking on the dangerous road, Mulholland Drive in California.
