The tuning firm RDX Racedesign have released a new styling kit for the Peugeot 207 and Peugeot 207 CC models to give it a more aggressive look. Contributing to the redesigned front is a lip spoiler for 169 euro and RDX headlight blends. Side skirts with a venting system give the Peugeot a sporty look, and at the rear is a new rear apron. It has been custom made to fit the aftermarket exhaust system with enough room to accommodate single or dual exhaust tips. The rear apron and side skirts are also priced at 169 euro a piece, and the skirts can be fitted on all two and three door Peugeot 207 models.

Another improvement to the exterior includes the RDX Racedesign roof spoiler for 99 euro, and customers have several other options to choose for their Peugeot 207. The tuning company offers a wheel kit and custom made exhaust system for those wanting to go over the top. All pieces included in the body kit are made from PU-ABS and come with the certificate of approval from the German Technical Control Board.

This here is the Peugeot SR1 hybrid 2+1 seater roadster concept that will be displayed for the first time at the upcoming 2010 Geneva Salon in March. The significance of the SR1 lies in its styling as the French automaker revealed that it foretells the stylistic design trends for its future models.

In short, this concept car showcases the firm’s new design language that abandons the chunky shapes and the much criticized gaping-mouth grille of the current Peugeots in favor of more elegant and sharper looks that hark back to the Pininfarina-era Pugs.

The concept itself, which bears a passing resemblance to Aston Martin’s Vantage V8, is a proposal for a low-slung roadster model with a hybrid powertrain.

The SR1′s interior, is pure concept though we might see the driver-orientated center console making its way into Peugeot’s future production models. The roadster can seat up to three in a 2+1 layout with the rear seat mounted centrally.

The roadster makes use of Peugeot’s HYbrid4 technology, which will be available in the company’s 3008 crossover from 2011. A front-mounted 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol engine with a power output of 218 bhp is combined with a rear electric motor developing 95 bhp.

When the two power trains work simultaneously, the SR1 develops a potential maximum power of 313bhp and also benefits from four-wheel drive.

Peugeot said that in electric only mode, the car becomes a Zero Emission Vehicle (ZEV), with a combined cycle fuel consumption of 4.9 lt/100km (48.0mpg US) and CO2 emissions of just 119 g/km.

The concept model also benefits from the adoption of 4-wheel steering with the turning angle of the rear wheels controlled as a function of the vehicle speed, via motorized links on the rear wishbones.

Even though we’re still a full year away from the European market launch of the iOn, Peugeot has already started to take pre-reservations for the all-electric car in the UK. Revealed at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September, the i0n is actually a rebadged Mitsubishi i-MiEV. As part of the PSA Peugeot-Citroen and Mitsubishi deal, Citroen will also launch its own version of the i-MiEV called the C-Zero.

With four doors and four seats, and a compact length of 3.48 m, the i0n is powered by a 64bhp electric motor that allows it to reach a top speed of 80mph or 129 km/h.

The small city car has a driving range of 80 miles (129 km) on a single charge of its lithium-ion batteries which can be recharged in six hours through a conventional mains power supply or recharged to 80% capacity within thirty minutes with a fast charging system.

Peugeot has not disclosed prices for the i0n. However, we do know that in Japan, the Mitsubishi i-MiEV is priced from 4,599,000 Yen (that’s €34,500 or $51,300 at today’s exchange rates), which is more than twice the cost of a Toyota Prius.

After the initial release of a handful of pictures earlier this morning, Peugeot has bombarded us with an abundance of photos of its facelifted 207 supermini that is due to be launched in Europe this August. The 207 hatchback, Station Wagon and CC hardtop convertible get a mildly reworked front fascia, as well as LED tail lamps (sans the SW) while Peugeot also spiffed up the interior with fresh trims, new instrument panel designs and the introduction of new equipment features.
