An extremely well kept example of Lamborghini’s made-to-order Murcielago LP640 Roadster VERSACE with only 1,211 miles (1,949 km) on the odometer, has surfaced on eBay for an asking price of $635,777 or approximately €467,758 at today’s exchange rates. That’s far less than the car’s original one million dollar price tag.

The Roadster version of the Murcielago Versace Edition came to life in the summer of 2008, two years after the introduction of the coupe model in 2006. The Murcielago LP640 Roadster VERSACE was an “ad personam” project, meaning that Lamborghini was ready to meet any special desires that clients might have had.

Powered by the same 6.5-liter V12 engine as the stock LP640, the VERSACE edition features a transparent engine hood and bespoke interior. The seats are clad in black and white leather, while the instrument panel, doors and central console are wrapped in full grain nappa leather, hand-embroidered with the Versace Greek fret motif.

The Italian supercar also comes with a host of accessories, such as the Versace luggage set, crafted in black matte calf skin.

There’s no word about the luggage set in the ad, but it does say that the car has Versace-stitched Nero Porseus leather seats and carbon fiber-trimmed interior, the latter being an optional feature. Furthermore, the first client opted for the E-gear transmission instead of the standard six-speed manual, a premium infotainment system and ceramic brakes.

Today we received the latest car tuning news from the guys at Markuzzi Exclusive about their all new Lamborghini Gallardo styling kit. Previously, the tuners shocked the industry with the stunning Mercedes wide body kit, and now have taken on a more expensive project with the Lamborghini. Pictured here is a 2005 Lamborghini Gallardo that has been boosted from the stock 500 hp rating to output 560 hp after a Markuzzi Production increase. The all new body kit is a definite head turner with a redesigned front apron, carbon fiber front splitter, rear apron, side skirts, and a carbon fiber rear diffuser.

Contributing to the Lambo’s horsepower gain is a stainless steel sport exhaust system with throttle control and ECU tuning performed by the Markuzzi Exclusive engineers. Based off the Lamborghini Gallardo LP560, the Swiss tuning specialists at BF Performance made their own exotic transformation dubbed the GT600. Developed to fit both the Coupe and Spyder versions of the stunning Italian Lamborghini super car, this program offers customers exclusivity, aggression, performance, and self-confidence all in one package. At first glance, the refined Lamborghini LP560, now the GT600, boasts a redesigned aero kit to fit its sporty nature. Consisting of a Reventon-inspired front spoiler, the Lambo also received new side skirts, rear diffuser, and a sleek rear wing. Pictures we have show the yellow and white models, white being the Spyder version, and both feature the signature Lambo wing-style doors.

In terms of performance, BF was able to confirm the numbers after beating the stronger Lamborghini Murcielago LP640-4 SV by 0.6 seconds on the Sachsenring round course. The tuners even offer a way to modify the four-wheel drive Lambo to a strictly rear wheel drive sports car. This way, the new Lamborghini GT600 combines the exclusive feature of the LP550-2 “Valentino Balboni” with increased performance numbers at the track. Inside the refined Gallardo you will find sport bucket seats, five-point racing seat belts, roll cage, carbon made steering wheel, and ventilation grids.

Reiter Engineering released this race built Lamborghini Murcielago LP670 R-SV last year and now decent pictures have finally surfaced on the web. This is a GT1 race-ready supercar that has been enhanced strictly for track use. Lowered just inches off the ground, the new Lamborghini Murcielago features an all new carbon outer skin aerodynamic kit, with a huge wing extending from the back. Also in the rear is the powerful 6.5-liter V12 engine capable of producing 670 PS and 660 Nm of torque. A new FIA-ECU from Magneti Marelli controls the engine management system, and the car meets all FIA 2010 regulations.

For the suspension, the Reiter engineers improved the car’s geometry with a modified roll-center height and improved steering geometry by installing a suspension kit. A racing brake system consisting of carbon pads and discs was essential, and has been optimized for extra cooling. It weighs in at only 1,150 kg and measures 4800 mm in length by 2058 mm wide. This Lamborghini Murcielago LP670 R-SV is aiming to be nominated for the GT World Championship.

Earlier today, Edo Competiton released the latest tuning kit for the stunning Lamborghini Gallardo LP600/4 supercar. Edo Competition has already revealed several other packages for Ferrari’s and Lamborghini’s, so this one just adds to the list. The Italian sports car is the most recent to go under the Edo knife, and it came out with some great numbers. As the name states, the Gallardo LP600/4 boasts 600 hp under the hood at 7,970 rpm, and 572 Nm of torque at 6,845 rpm. At the track, the racing Lamborghini Gallardo sprinted from 0-100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds, 0-200 km/h in 10 seconds, and accomplished an amazing top speed of 340 km/h.

Performance upgrades weren’t the only thing in mind when tuning the Lamborghini Gallardo LP600/4. Edo Competition hooked it up with a fully adjustable sport suspension to improve the stability and handling. The cars suspension features a rebound damping adjustable compression springs for a guaranteed smooth ride at high speeds. Lightweight alloy wheels measuring 19-inches were installed for added performance and looks. Underneath is a high performance exhaust system made of stainless steel with butterfly valves to give the Lamborghini an evil sound. Pricing from Edo hasn’t been released yet for the Gallardo tuning kit.

First of all, the man pictured above – songwriter, singer and twice Brit Award winner James Blunt, is not featured in the new 2010 Pirelli Calendar – sigh of relief… He’s just one of the many celebrities that were chauffeured in Lamborghinis to Old Billingsgate, a 19th century building on the banks of the Thames in London, for the world premiere / presentation of the 37th edition of the famed Pirelli Calendar.

All in all, three Lamborghini supercars – a Murcielago LP 670-4 SV, a Gallardo LP 560-4 Spyder and the latest limited edition, rear-wheel drive Gallardo LP 550-2 Valentino Balboni, were used at the event.

For the occasion, the Raging Bull supercars sported hidden LED lights positioned under the wheel arches to illuminate the Pirelli tires in homage to the Milan-based tire company.

Unfortunately, Pirelli has not yet issued any photos for press use from its new calendar, but we can tell you that the 37th edition features a total of eleven models including, Catherine McNeil, Abbey Lee Kershaw and Miranda Kerr of Australia, Eniko Mihalik from Hungary, Marloes Horst of the Netherlands, Lily Cole, Daisy Lowe, and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley from the UK, Georgina Stojilijkovic of Serbia and two Brazilian natives, Gracie Carvalho and Ana Beatriz Barros.

Turns out that we were spot with our estimates on the technical specs of the all-new Lamborghini Gallardo LP 550-2 (okay, okay, we simply used Lambo’s naming strategy) that was officially revealed today after the first photos of the supercar were leaked into the net yesterday. Named after Lamborghini’s best known test drivers, Valentino Balboni who retired after 40 years with the company, the Gallardo LP 550-2 Valentino Balboni ditches the Gallardo’s four-wheel drive system for a rear-drive setup while power comes from a 550HP 5.2-liter V10 engine.

Lamborghini said that the conversion from all-wheel drive to rear-wheel drive only was not simply a question of moving the transmission to the rear axle as the vehicle had to be thoroughly adjusted and tuned. The company’s engineers performerd changes on the supercar’s springs, dampers, stabilisers and the tyres as well as adjusting the aerodynamics to take account of the change to the power flow.

Other changes concern the redevelopment of the rear axle differential, with a 45 percent limited slip, the recalibration of the e-gear transmission and a series of adjustment to the ESP system which now permits greater drift angles.

The only current Lamborghini that delivers its power to the road via its rear wheels alone is 30kg or 66-lbs lighter than its all-wheel drive equivalent, the 560HP Gallardo LP560-4. Weighing at 1,380kg or 3,042 pounds, the LP 550-2 launches from 0 to 100 km/h (0-62mph) in 3.9 seconds or 0.2sec slower than the LP 560-4, while it achieves a top speed of 320 km/h or 199 mph (LP 560-4: 325 km/h or 202 mph).

On the outside, the Balboni Gallardo features color strip in white and gold running from the front panel all the way back to the rear spoiler, a transparent engine cover and Scorpius alloys in dark grey finish while the brake callipers come in black, orange or yellow, depending on the exterior paint finish. Customers can choose from a palette of eight exterior colors.

Inside, the special edition Gallardo comes equipped with a full leather upholstery is black with the seats featuring a white color strip. The centre console is completely upholstered in a contrasting Polar white leather while a badge below the left side window bears the signature of Valentino Balboni and the production number of the car.

The Gallardo LP 550-2 Valentino Balboni will be produced in a limited series of 250 units with suggested retail prices without taxes set at €162,000 for Europe, £137,900 for the U.K. and $219,800 for the U.S.
