For some reason, Porsche tuner TechArt has decided to release an exclusive aerokit for the recently introduced Cayenne Diesel that’s powered by an Audi-derived, 240-horsepower 3.0-liter V6 TDI. Though less extreme than the firm’s other tuning packages, the accessorized Cayenne Diesel definitely stands out. TechaArt’s aero kit includes a front spoiler with additional lights, side skirts, roof spoiler, a rear apron with an integrated diffuser and headlight / tail light trims. All components are made from high quality polyurethane RIM.

The first official picture of the all-new Alpina B7 Bi-Turbo has made its way into the internet prior to the sport saloon’s world premiere in Geneva next week. Alpina’s latest proposal is based on the new 7-Series and it uses a modified version of BMW’s factory 4.4-liter twin-turbochargedV87 engine developed to produce 507-horsepower and 700Nm of torque.

The economic downturn has claimed another victim. Subaru and Toyota have confirmed their joint small sports car project is on hold. Together, they announced the new vehicle back in April, 2008, as a rear-wheel-drive with Subaru’s horizontally opposed boxer engine. Both companies were to sell the car under different names, and with different bodywork.

The Geneva International Motor Show next week promises to showcase a lot more eco-cars than before. One of the exhibitors in this segment will be Austrian auto manufacturer Magna Steyr. They will be presenting the Mila EV Concept which is a compact car powered by a lithium-ion battery that charges in 2.5 hours. The Mila EV produces 67hp (49kW) through its motor and has a range of 150km (93 miles).

Owners of the 2009MY Honda Odyssey minivan need to pay attention as the Japanese firm is recalling 421 vehicles in the States over a problem with the braking system. According to Honda, during assembly, incorrect front brake hoses were installed on these particular cars. The brake hose may come in contact with the caliper bolt and over time a hole may develop allowing the brake fluid to leak and consequently, result in reduced brake system performance. Honda’s dealers will inspect both front brake hoses and replace with the correct brake hoses free of charge.

It’s special edition time for Merc’s Smart brand which has announced the release of the Fortwo “edition limited three”. As is the case with most special series models, there’s really nothing actually noteworthy about this Fortwo other than it comes with a melon green metallic paintwork with matching interior trim, a unique fabric design for the seats with shades of brown and upgraded standard equipment.

For this year’s Geneva Motor Show, Swiss tuner and concept car specialist Rinspeed has developed a modified Fiat 500 Abarth study badged “E2″ featuring a dual power mode system that affects the engine electronics. What this system does is, with the touch of a button, it reduces the output of the 500 Abarth’s 1.4-liter turbocharged engine, from 160HP to 60HP. The 60-horsepower ‘Commuting’ mode, which is more suitable for city traffic, helps the 500 Abarth achieve an average consumption of around 4.0 lt / 100 km or 58.8mpg U.S.

While we can’t say that we were impressed by the arcade-style game, you might want to take a shot at it as Alfa is offering several prizes, including a new MiTo worth near £12,000 for those that score the best overall time.
